Gaining Ground

Gaining Ground:

Christian friend,

The E-word Communicator is read in different parts of the globe.

Many receive it straight into their In box.

Others find the E-word Communicator, by following Internet links, or by inadvertently landing on our web pages.

And yes, some people have even accepted a recommendation from a friend.

And that’s cool!

But what we mustn’t forget, is that the E-word Communicator is a ministry seeded by Springs.

Yep, that’s right!

You see, this message of encouragement began in 2007 as a monthly reflection.

But then, in 2010, Ollie & Jenny, the leaders from Springs, the fellowship where we connect, encouraged me to write once a week, if not more.

Admittedly, at first, I wasn’t sure if I could deliver the goods, but I’m glad I tried.

And that’s how the E-word Communicator came into existence on a weekly basis.

An incredible experience.

An amazing journey.

And it’s surprising what one can gain with effort, and a little encouragement from friends.

Just hearing the simple words, “you can do it,” can make all the difference.

Recently, some other friends, Bob & Trudey, wrote concerning our Internet ministry.

And this is what they said:

“Thank you so much for your Newday-Prince blog.

You have no idea [maybe you do] of what you’re achieving through it.”

Well, to be honest, as I was digesting their words of love and encouragement, I felt as if I had received an accolade.

Is that wrong of me?

After-all, I’m not seeking fame!

And I’m not looking for glory either!

But, oh, what a well-timed boost!

Sure-enough, “we” felt real good!

And yep, they were right.

We have no idea.

Still, let’s move on.

For this is my point for this week:

It’s all about relationship and encouragement.

It’s all about strengthening each other.

And we all need encouragement now and then, don’t we?

Of course!

So consider this:

God has invested in us the currency of Heaven.

And it’s not a monetary currency!

Nope!

Listen up!

God has exchanged one thing for another thing.

For instance, He has exchanged every form of timidity, and empowered us with boldness.

He has exchanged all types of fear, and embraced us with His love.

He has exchanged our lack of courage, and embellished us with a calm demeanour.

Remember, His provision is greater than any endeavour.

And God doesn’t want us to be shy with His gifts.

So, rather than digging a hole to bury our gifts, let’s invest in each other!

Keep those gifts alive.

Awaken the gifts in others.

Watch what happens.

Then, be encouraged, especially as we notice one another gradually making progress and gaining new ground.

With God’s help, we can do it!

You can do it!

Oh yes!

Come on kids!

Together, give God praise!

Amen? Amen!
