Reams Of Grace

Reams Of Grace:

Howdy friends,

It seems to me that some of us are stuck in the Books of Law and have never found freedom in the Reams of-Grace.

Many of us are bogged-down by rules and regulations rather than lifted-up into that place of love.

Some are worn-out by religion when they could be drawn-in to a meaningful relationship.

Even when the truth is placed right in front of our noses we fail to see.

The elder brother of the prodigal in many ways reminds me of this.

Remember, he stormed off in an angry sulk and refused to join in the party.

His father had to point out: Son you don’t understand, you are with me all the time and everything that is mine is yours.

So, why have I entitled this weeks E-word Reams of Grace?

Well, we need to understand what the word “ream” means.

When I worked in the printing industry, a ream was a quantity of sheets of paper of the same size and quality.

A ream would house 500 sheets of identical paper of different types, textures, thickness, weights and so on.

A store-room containing 500 sheets of paper in multiple bales seemed a lot to me.

Beyond my calculation.

Put simply, it’s a very big amount.

Kinda like God’s loyal and merciful love.

Abundant and plentiful.

Existing in large quantities.

Immeasurable.

Having no limits.

Extravagant.

Having everything that we need.

More than enough.

Full of richness.

Differing colours.

Somersaulting with goodness.

Complete.

Rolling-over.

Touching every area of our lives.

So, if you’re stuck, bogged-down or worn-out:

Open your eyes.

Search your heart.

Listen to the voice of heavenly Father.

Begin to turn the pages.

Don’t just settle for the same old familiar routine.

Don’t dwell in yesterdays chapter.

Instead, walk through the reams of grace.

Freely live in the place of love.

Immerse yourself in the things of Father.

And know – everything that He has is yours.

Just note, grace is not inadequate.

Our Father is able to pour on the blessings in astonishing ways.

He is devoted to relationship.
