Compare The Mountain Dot Com

Compare The Mountain Dot Com:

Howdy friends,

My, it’s so good to be back.

I’ve really missed you.

Although I’m not quite running on all cylinders yet, I’m on the road to recovery.

This is a result of having my right shin surgically removed due to having skin cancer.

But praise God, I’m progressing daily.

Anyhow, in a recent conversation with one of the nurses at the plastic dressing clinic, she shared with me that the best way to know a place is to walk through it..

Hey, just envisage exploring the streets of your community.

It’s only then that you discover all the nooks and crannies:

The crags and crevices.

The entries and gullies.

The hidden detail.

The good, and the not so good.

And this got me a thinking, again.

What the nurse had to share not only applies to geographical places, but physical and spiritual ones too.

I guess, for some, this could be kinda like scaling a mountain.

On the face of it, a hopeless endeavour.

But, we need to realise that mountains come in different forms.

They could be any obstacle that stands in our way, ranging from:

Distractions:

Financial problems:

Insecurities:

Relational difficulties:

Sicknesses:

Sorrows:

And so on.

Still, you know, there is only One who can put all the earth’s dirt in one of His baskets, weigh each mountain and hill.

Only One who knows the full measure of what we are going through.

Only One who fully understands and enters into our feelings.

All the same, we love to “sit” and compare, don’t we?

Sure-enough, some take pride in the size of their massive mountain.

Many feel intimidated.

Others love to have a pity-party.

Sigh!

But rather than “sit” and compare with each other, Jesus encourages us to speak to the mountain.

Yep, speak directly to the mountain!

Instead of being fazed, just say:

Go jump in the lake.

No shuffling or shilly-shallying – and it’s as good as done.

Wow!

What an amazing dimension to prayer.

So, I encourage you to speak words of authority into those conditions that seem like a rocky mountain formation.

Just connect with God.

Nothing is too big for Him!

Nothing is insignificant either.

Listen up!

Come, know the love of Father.

Be confident in what you have to say:

How to pray:

And what to do next:

Then, experience His power bursting from the place where you are at, onto the streets of your community.

Simples.

Say, yes!
