Kindly Forgiven

Kindly Forgiven:

If we’re honest with ourselves, we’ve all stumbled somewhere along the journey.

Some of us have fallen down more than most.

Yet, there are those who just can’t help themselves.

I’m certain you’ve met them.

They try to create scandal by reminding us of some forgotten event.

They drag us down by finding fault.

But hey!

Consider this proverb:

Those who forgive faults foster love.

But, those who repeatedly recall them ruin relationships.

Still, heads up!

Thank God, our heavenly Father will not recall the thoughtless words and actions of our youth, immaturity, or inexperience.

Sure-enough, our expectation of Father, is that He will not deal with us as if He had made note of our wrong-doings.

Rather, He will deal with us as if they were completely blanked out.

You see, love doesn’t keep track of wrongs.

Love doesn’t brood over bad behaviour.

Love keeps no record!

Yet this concerns me, if some are tenaciously clinging on to their extensive record of another persons wrongs, then they’ve probably missed the point of God’s selfless love.

The important question that is in dispute and must be settled is not what we did wrong – but what God did right!

Oh, the rhythms of His grace.

Still in full flow.

So listen up!

We don’t have to go back to school to learn about our loving Father.

We don’t have to buy a book called God in Five Easy Lessons.

We can all get to know Father first-hand.

Sure, the little and the big, the small and the great.

We can get to know Father by being kindly forgiven, with the slate of our sins forever wiped clean.

All we need to do is admit our sins.

Make a clean breast of them.

He won’t let us down.

He’ll be true to Himself.

He will forgive our sins and purge us of all wrong-doings.

How amazing is that!

I’m forgiven.

I’m loved.

You’re forgiven.

You’re loved.

So, come-on!

Let’s embrace Father’s love:

He has a steady supply of love and encouragement.

Let’s experience so much freedom:

Leaving the past behind.

Pushing onward.

And let’s set the pace:

Explore and enjoy adventure together.

Having a true relationship with Father.

Looking forward.

Say yes!
