Life On The Line

Life On The Line:

Howdy friends,

Rachel and I love wild flowers.

If we had a garden full of wild flowers we sure would be
delighted.

We especially love the poppy.

You know, those breathtaking, single scarlet flowers.

At this time of year their striking colour provides a memorial to the loss of blood and sacrifice of so many individuals.

For this reason, the poppy is a symbol of remembrance and hope.

If only we could envision peace for everyone in the world!

That sure would be awesome.

Sadly though, it seems to me that in certain sectors of society there is a contemptuous disregard for some of the exceptional and heroic acts of courage by men and women who have fought for our freedom.

Yet, many have given their lives through ages past.

Many have paid the ultimate price.

However, today, the world is still actively struggling with itself.

Searching for peace.

Looking for love.

Longing for hope.

Still, listen-up!

Scripture tells us that this is the very best way to love:

Put your life on the line for your friends.

My, that sure is some sacrifice!

Giving up everything!

But, let us keep alive the memory of the greatest act of sacrifice.

You see, God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die.

Yes, that’s right!

God’s Son Jesus – was sent to earth to rescue everyone of us from our sins.

Jesus died for us, by being subjected to death on a cross.

He put his life on the line for you, me, and everyone.

His sacrificial love bought our freedom.

The message of the cross conveys peace, love and hope.

And because Jesus was raised from the dead we have been given a brand new life.

Sure-enough, we have everything to live for.

Come-on!

Say, yes!
