Every Life Matters:
Precious humanity,
You know what, we all belong to one big family!
Yes, it’s true.
Once we have realised this, we can move on.
You see, we are all brothers and sisters.
Sons and daughters.
Now, listen up!
Each black life matters.
Each white life matters.
Every female has significance.
Every male has significance.
Gay lives matter.
Straight lives matter.
Every broken life is important.
Every mended one too.
Each sorted life matters.
The not so sorted also.
The rich have substance.
The poor are worthy of note.
The able bodied matter.
The not so able too.
The drug addict.
The alcoholic.
The cold, empti-bellied.
The homeless.
The orphaned soul.
The refugee seeking sanctuary.
Come-on!
Even those content with their own situation.
Still, as each persona is peeled back, every life matters.
Unborn lives matter.
The young.
The elderly.
So why should they matter to us?
The reason, because every life matters to our heavenly Papa.
So, let’s open up our hearts.
Embrace one another with acts of kindness and Papa’s love.
Put aside any misconceptions.
Lay down those differences.
Spread out an open table, large enough for all.
Through the course of each day, every life matters.
Say, yes!
