Untying The Labels

Untying The Labels:

I dislike the improper use of labels!

It seems to me that labels can be used as a reason for pigeon-holing folks.

Often we give a label to someone against their own wish or desire.

Sadly, people take a label and make that single label the most essential part of another person’s identity.

By fixing a tag or label to an individual – it can home-in on an issue without any necessity!

But what do we really achieve?

Well, I don’t know about you, but I reckon the misuse of labelling can actually destroy someone’s confidence and self-esteem.

All the same, those who misuse labels frequently display a sense of being better than others.

Still, quite often people label each other because of the anxiety they experience when they feel vulnerable and insecure.

Inadvertently, some people are extremely unsure of themselves – others have an exaggerated sense of self-importance.

It’s either that or they’re lacking feeling!!

Unfortunately, when we label people, we bar from attention or consideration their ability to do certain things.

But you know, it doesn’t matter what we guess about ourselves or how come others label us.

Only one opinion counts – our heavenly Papas.

His view of us is fact.

But wait!

Just consider the way we label others.

Or, for that matter, the way we label ourselves!

Think about it!

Maybe we should turn to Papa to help us see each other the way He sees us.

Perhaps it’s time to untie those inappropriate labels, and chuck those name tags away!

Simply remember, we are all kids, created in His image.

Now, that’s the most favourable label!

“Papas Kids!”

Each one, unique.
