Staying On Track:
For some, life can be travelling about without any clear destination – drifting, virtually aimlessly, continually changing.
They appear to exist, journeying via an indirect route or at no set pace.
Many move around in a sinuous, spiral, or circular course – meandering no-where!
Others may come across as moving in a hit-or-miss or slap-dash way – dealing with things almost willy-nilly!
Lacking neatness or order.
Unwilling to hear.
Paying no attention!
Losing touch with God and reality!
Only having interest in oneself!
But if we are to be champions, this is what God’s Word the Bible has to say:
Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going. And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind.
Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it.
Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.1.
Yep, that’s right!
And what’s more, this is what the apostle Paul had to say:
“I don’t know about you, but I’m running hard for the finish line.
I’m giving it everything I’ve got.
NO SLOPPY LIVING for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition.
I’m not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself.”2.
Wow!
Impressive stuff!!
Macho!!!
Still, listen, our heavenly Father urges us on whenever we wander left or right.
In truth, He is right alongside to keep us steady and on track.
He sets the pace.
He energizes those who get tired.
He declares, “This is the right track.”
He takes the time to do everything right – everything!
So, dear champion, listen to His voice, and stay alert!
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Be content to linger in the path sign-posted with His decisions.
Don’t be distracted!
Never lose sight of where you are heading!
Depend on Him, and you’ll finish well.
Look neither right nor left – leave evil in the dust!
