Success:
As the sun goes down on another year – difficult times have helped us to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance.1.
For instance, what really is success?
Is it really having a plentiful supply of material goods and money, and having an influence with status and power?
Many reckon it’s enjoying the “good life” – having a brand new car, with a mortgage-free five bed-roomed country house and a well paid job to suit it all!
O to be financially secure. Wouldn’t that be great?
Now, there’s nothing wrong with having these things, but is it really success?
Looking at the bigger picture – without God these things don’t count for much!
Even if we’ve got all the wealth and riches in the world, without God’s hand in our lives – we’re empty!
Friends, what we need to do is high-light those things that are important – and do away with those things that aren’t!
Need some help?
Well let’s consider the importance of walking close with God, and having a right relationship with Him.
Walk with God? Relationship? Yeah!
God doesn’t force Himself on anyone. We all have a choice.
We can either accept or reject Him.
And if we choose to welcome and accept Him, He’ll turn our lives around for good.
Then, as our relationship grows with our Heavenly Papa – we begin to realize that our opportunity for fresh starts isn’t the new year – but each new day!
No need to wait for the chimes of Big Ben to start afresh!
Nah!
What we must do – is steep our lives in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.
DON’T WORRY about missing out. We’ll find all our everyday human concerns will be met.2.
In truth, God misses nothing when it comes to knowing what pleases His children!
Sure-enough, as we live every day with loyalty and respect to Him – we’ll discover true success, and learn the secret of being content.
So, let’s greet God with a child-like “What’s next, Papa?”
And as the next chapters unfold, let’s stroll in freedom with Him through the sunlit fields of life.
And know this, God will bless us and keep us – God will smile on us and gift us – God will look us full in the face and make us prosper.3.
Wow!
The future’s bright with Him.
Amen? Amen!
