Love Is In The Air:
God has said, “I will never fail you, I will never abandon you.”
Suffering the hurt of feeling unloved and living in a state of total rejection:, is hard enough for anyone to endure.
Coping with the agony of a break-up of marriage, was particularly a painful experience for one of our friends.
And; although Joy knew that other family members & close friends loved her, feeling & accepting such love was difficult.
Recently:, due to the marriage break-up; overwhelmed by such rejection, emptiness, isolation and despair, she found herself with her dog standing in the middle of a field.
The dog was running around in circles – apparently oblivious to the way his owner was feeling.
Almost in a worthless state:, with her head bowed and hands in her pockets; Joy became so aware of a sense of sadness, a consequence of being forsaken and abandoned.
Then; suddenly:, Joy found cause to lift up her head – being conscious of something attracting her attention.
An object seemed to be moving up and down in the air.
Yes:, right in front of her – leaping almost like a frog – was an inflated party balloon.
Where it came from was a mystery.
Why it was moving in such a way, an even greater mystery!
Perhaps it was caught in the bushes.
She could not believe her eyes!!!
Looking closely at the bouncing balloon; to her astonishment & surprise – written across the front of the balloon was the message, “I love you.”
One can only imagine how delighted Joy became.
Later:, referring to the episode, Joy opened up to share with us how God moves in mysterious ways.
And:,yes, God does have a sense of humour!
Many through life’s experiences:, may suffer situations just like our friend.
Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me!
Now that’s something to think about.
If you are experiencing a sense of emptiness or feel as if you’ve been cast to one side, just think about the reminder on the balloon.
“I love you.”
When you don’t feel loved:, you need God’s help – there is no other answer.
God is someone who you must believe in – and He is there when you reach out for Him.
