Looking For You:
Howdy friends,
Just imagine the game in which a child covers his own eyes to prevent him from seeing.
Meanwhile, his mates run and hide.
He than has to go and find them.
Some may consider this to be the rhythm of life.
You know, hide and seek.
Others have an idea, could it be one of God’s games?
Some think God is hiding from them.
However, let’s look at the game from a different perspective.
Envisage God, our heavenly Papa, covering His own eyes.
We are the ones who run and hide.
He comes looking for us.
The question is, when He looks for us, will He find us?
As He tries to locate us with unconditional and enthusiastic love, will we let Him find us?
Ah, you say: I thought He was all-knowing.
I thought He was present everywhere at once.
Sure, He is.
But then we blare out, where is God when we need Him?
I guess we know the answer to that!
The most important issue here is: where are we when God needs us?
It’s an age old mind game.
A game almost as old as Adam.
But here and now, where do we stand?
Do we hide from reality?
Do we prevent ourselves from being discovered?
Do we keep out of sight when the going gets tough?
Well, just listen up!
Perhaps it’s time to stand up and be counted.
Perhaps it’s time to wake-up to where we could be, rather than where we really are.
Perhaps it’s time to come out of the cupboard.
Perhaps it’s time to concede: Here I am!
Oh, Papa!
You’ve found me!
Say, yes!
