Forty Days Of Thanks

Forty Days Of Thanks:

Howdy precious friends,

Leading up to the ten year anniversary of newday-prince, Rachel and I spent 40 days sending out messages of thanks.

We sent them to various people who had encouraged us and supported us with our web page ministry.

Sadly, we were unable to send a message to everyone, as between us we had over 1,000 friends.

But we spread our communication over a wide range of people, some receiving just a sentence or two.

Others had a lengthy section of words.

And many had something in between.

We “tried” to shape our thanks in a personal way, and had great fun doing so.

Little did we expect the response.

For as those 40 days gradually unfolded, 40% of friends replied.

We were so touched.

And wee continue to be so.

All the same, I am often unsure what the rules are in thanking someone for a thank you message:

The correspondence could go on and on.

I mean, does anyone keep to the rules governing socially acceptable behaviour?

Should I show a response or a reaction to everything?

Am I wrong in thanking someone for their thank you note – which initially thanked me for mine?

Anyhow, I guess you get my drift.

Well, hopefully!

You see, surely, saying thanks makes all the difference.

In the Christian community, we are encouraged to give thanks to our heavenly Pa.

Of course Pa does not require an extremely long statement from us, but the art of showing gratitude can often enhance our own contented state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous.

When giving thanks becomes an in-built part of our life – we will inevitably find that our attitude toward life will change.

Being thankful for whatever we receive from others not only conforms with accepted standards, but also shows a confident stance about us.

Such expression can have an effect on our inspiration.

It can make a difference to our state of connectedness between people.

And certainly our connection with heavenly Pa.

For this reason, it is good to articulate thanks, either verbally or with a cry, shout, or noise.

It is good to exchange encouraging messages that are written, spoken, or signalled.

It is good to share a thank you emoticon, an animated double thumbs up, or even a cheers!

Oh, if only Rachel and I had the technical capability to write to you all individually.

Still, whether or not you received a communication from us, we really appreciate you, no matter what!

So listen up:

You need to know, friends, that thanking heavenly Pa over and over for you is not only a pleasure; it’s a must.

Whenever we ponder about you, we give ourselves entirely to it.

And we pray that your faith will continue to grow phenomenally.

That our love for each other will develop wonderfully.

Why, it is only right that we show thanks.

Yes, alongside God, our heavenly Pa, we are so proud of you.

After-all, our web page ministry is all about reaching individuals like you.

Just remember, Pa communicates a particular warmth and affection for you.

Oh, my!

He sure does.

His generous love belongs forever and a day.

So, precious friends, cultivate a heart of thanks.

Applaud.

And praise His name.
