Super-experiential:
Howdy Friend,
If you have been reading the E-word over a length of time, you would have noticed that I love giving a description of my journey with my heavenly Pa.
Sure-enough, you may have also noticed how I love to give an account of what Jesus means to me.
Furthermore, I enjoy sharing about God the Holy Spirit, and His powerful influence in my life.
Many may have observed my relationship with my heavenly Pa.
Others may understand why I love to express what Jesus has done for me.
But some may not fully appreciate the role of God the Holy Spirit.
Sadly, the world does not accept the Holy Spirit, because it does not see Him or know Him.
But as followers of Jesus, we know Him, because He lives with us and He is in us from day one.
But there is more:
Constantly, He brings freedom to all believers.
Sure, rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes.
He nudges the scruples of the wrong-doer.
He makes known what is right.
He provides peace in the troubled seas.
And, He brings joy to reignite the heart.
Hey!
Listen up!
If ever we have a feeling of deep regret when we violate principles of right and wrong:
If ever we have sensed a sadness associated with some mistake done:
If ever we have figured out a Supreme fact that has been verified long time ago:
It is then, that we have been affected by the Holy Spirit.
He is shaping our lives all day long.
Still, in many ways, He is more than a feeling:
More than an emotion:
More than shivers down the back-bone:
More than an atmosphere:
You see, the filling of the Spirit is a super-experiential activity.
Remember, the Spirit flowed through all of the speaking in various languages, and all of the totally amazing things that leap from the pages of the New Testament.
And still He flows through the awesome things that are happening today:
This is the reality of life in the Spirit made available to everyone who believes.
But before we can be empowered by the Spirit, the impulse to be filled must be overwhelming.
This must be at that time the most important thing in our lives, so full as to squeeze out everything else.
Having a need to be totally saturated.
Totally!
Over and again.
Day after day.
Soaked.
Absorbed.
Engulfed.
No holding-back!
No holding-out!
Friend, you need to know this:
If you thirst for a filling of God’s Spirit, listen carefully.
Our heavenly Pa is ready to give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks.
He is ready to give more than we can imagine:
Briming and spilling out of the depths.
Splashing, sploshing.
Filling completely to the point of overflowing.
What a promise!
Of the highest quality.
A super-experiential living.
Listen, the story is not yet over.
So, with a child-like heart, drink-in the Spirit, huge and hurried gulps of Him.
Come now.
Daily:
Without missing a day.
From the break of dawn:
Jump for joy.
Say yes!
