One Step Forward:
Howdy friend,
If you’re out of sorts with someone or something:
If you’re out of sync with yourself:
If you’re emotionally frazzled because of something someone said:
Or feeling downbeat:
Simply start the new day fresh.
Stop everything you’re doing.
Grab a cupppa, find a comfy seat, and consider this:
Sure, your past may present a problem for you.
Your self-whispered thoughts may try and sentence you.
But God, our righteous Father looks at you as innocent.
He has made you free of guilt.
Listen!
If you miss a step and fall or nearly fall, He reaches out to steady you.
He puts you back on track.
It’s not unusual for Him to watch over you.
Not unusual for Him to look after you.
He makes you completely neat and clean.
He empowers you with the authenticity of HIS LOVE.
Think of it!
All our wrong-doings are forgiven.
Our slate has been wiped clean.
That old arrest warrant has been cancelled.
It’s all nailed to the cross!
That’s how much we mean to Him.
That’s how much HE LOVES us.
He has put our lives together:
He shapes the lives of those who LOVE HIM.
We’re whole and holy in His presence.
Now friend, people may lunge their abuse at you:
Dish the dirt around and about you:
Begin an outpouring of gossip against you:
Form a distorted opinion of you:
Charge you and doom you beforehand:
Provide evidence to contradict you.
Crumbs – even your own suspicions may question you:
Others may ignore you:
They might purposefully avoid you:
And, because of you, some may have unrestrained merriment.
But wait!
Father firmly states – you are precious.
He publicly announces – you are special.
He never broadcasts your wrong-doings.
Never “calls it a day.”
Never gives up on you.
He has some extraordinarily good things in-store for you:
He has planned only the best for you. !
Just pay attention!
Don’t keep going over old ground!
Don’t make life more arduous than it actually is!
Don’t put your present-day on permanent-pause while you work out your past!
Don’t let the imputation of blame get the better of you!
Instead, be a breath of fresh air in the smogginess.
Do everything cheerfully.
Yeah, go-on!
Laugh out loud.
Let that smile burst!
Give a high-five!
Share a smiley emoticon!
Say something to someone that expresses praise.
Remember, God sets things right.
He also makes it possible for you to live in His rightness.
So, turn to face the right direction.
Take one step forward.
Don’t hit back!
Discover beauty in everyone.
Never lose sight of FATHER’S LOVE.
Be upbeat.
Keep on your feet.
Walk tall in the Son-light.
Celebrate FATHER’S LOVE.
Invite everyone to His banquet.
May LOVE be the endless topic of conversation.
What an affirmative response!
While much forgiveness is known:
Much LOVE can be shown.
Say amen!
