So, you’re living by faith?
Really?
Truly?
What does that actually mean?
Is it having an accredited, self-supporting ministry?
Is it stepping out into that daring adventure?
Maybe, for you, it is.
But listen:
What is faith?
It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen.
It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.
Its not yet known.
Not yet seen.
Not yet touched.
Still, have you ever met the “been there, done that, bought the T-shirt” type people?
Oh boy!
Let’s all be honest!
There are realities we’ve never experienced.
Facts we’ve never discovered.
But, the people who live in right relationship with God do it by embracing what God arranges for them.
That’s faith!
And, if we’re in right relationship with God through loyal and steady believing – we’re fully alive, really alive.
Yes, it’s true!
The people in right relationship with God by trusting Him really live.
By faith?
Yep!
Hear me out:
Through faith, we have life.
Life in abundance.
Bountiful!
Remember, that’s why we are able to live with such good cheer.
It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going.
And this is my point:
Living by faith is trusting God regardless of our uncomfortable questions and niggling doubts.
It’s knowing that we don’t have to figure out everything on our own.
It’s accepting – we don’t know it all.
But we know the One who does!
For-sure, it’s more God’s plan and less our own pocket-sized perspective.
God is more than …
Bigger than …
So, let’s not be bloated by self-importance.
Full of ourselves.
Soul-empty.
Instead, whatever your status, live to do God’s will.
Embrace what He arranges for you.
Really embrace it.
Follow His direction.
Pay close attention to His suggestion.
Listen to His voice.
Hear with intention.
Make the right choice.
Take all the help you can get.
Dwell in God’s best.
Depend on Him.
Live those daring adventures launched from a secure base.
Cast anchor into His promises.
And:
Say amen!
