Odd Bod Kids:
Many years ago, I was asked to share various aspects from my story.
And so, straight from the heart, I began to outline some life-changing experiences, including the fact that I have 3 kidney’s and 2 pancreas’s.
Rather an odd bod lad, you may think.
Strange? Perhaps.
But later, a smart gentleman began to question thoroughly and closely as to why I hadn’t mentioned that I was totally blind.
My response: “Oh, I forgot about that!”
In many ways, the gentleman was more concerned with what he could see.
To be honest, I was more concerned with what he couldn’t.
Think about it.
I’ve never let “the” blindness define me.
And my point is this, we should never allow anyone or anything to define us.
But of course, we need to know who we are.
Admittedly, there are those who pretend to be someone who they aren’t!
Trying to be someone God never intended us to be can bring us to a breaking point!
Bottom line, this could prove problematic!
Still, precious friends, we really need to know whom we truly want to please.
Oh boy!
We can’t please everyone.
We can work by either an order of importance or a demand for attention.
I guess, we need to choose what’s important.
We need to decide what we hold dear.
So take note:
Simply know this, God values each and everyone of us.
Even though others only care about our external appearance or the qualifications we’ve mastered, God considers our inner character.
He determines the essential qualities of who we really are.
And sure-enough, He’s in the business of collecting odd bod kids.
Te-hee!
What joy!
Chuckle!
Yep! Strangely or not, kids kinda like you. Kinda like me!
We don’t have to be like everyone else.
No need to keep up appearances.
No need to make-believe.
No need to hide under a false identity.
No need to lack spontaneity, originality, or individuality.
After-all, why should we?
Each of us has our own way of being special and the sentiments of others shouldn’t define us.
It’s God’s opinion that counts, and that’s all that matters!
Summing up, God sees us for who we “are purposed to be” – not for what we appear to be.
Come-on!
Look, in light of this being done and sorted, let’s just be.
Agree? Agree!
