Language Of Grace

Language Of Grace:

There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough …

But many along that road are unsusceptible to persuasion.

They are adamant, not capable of being swayed or diverted from a course.

They become inflexible, rigid, unmovable, lacking freshness, vigour, and vitality.

Some seem incapable of adapting or changing to meet circumstances.

Few are unwilling to tolerate difference of opinion.

Some become unsparing in judgment.

Indicating strong disapproval.

Extremely scrupulous.

Surprisingly, self-righteous.

Having a sanctimonious manner.

Holier-than-thou.

And so the scenario goes on!

Still, here’s a true, life-giving quote, shared on Facebook by Francois Du Toit:

“Willpower is the language of the law, and it never brings permanent change, only more condemnation and separation.

Love is the language of grace and it ignites faith that leads to romance.

Nothing beats falling in love with the One who first loved us!”

Such loyal love.

Merciful love.

So, let’s keep a grip on hope!

Let’s do some inside-out thinking.

After-all, faith in action breathes life.

But just remember, everything we say should be kind and well thought out so that we know how to answer everyone.

And keep note, body language can expose a person’s intentions.

Likewise, every expression of speech reveals ones heart.

For example, a word of comfort.

A consoling thought.

A message of encouragement.

A re-assuring hand on someone’s shoulder.

A hug, squeezed with affection.

A gentle truth.

A telephone chat providing positive support.

An attentive – listening ear.

A friendly, neighbourly knock at the door.

Even a hearty meal shared with friends.

So much love – wrapped in care.

Every act of kindness shining brightly through someone’s darkest hour.

That, my friend, is the language of grace.

Giving love, in a clouded episode of need.

Equally, sharing love, when there appears to be no need.

Straight from the heart, without counting the cost.

Making visible – Father’s love.

His love, the rich soil where lives take root.

His love, the bedrock where lives are founded.

And so, here’s the point, merciful love always wins against legalistic opinion – and at the junction of Justice Avenue, grace has the upper-hand.

Remember, God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending His Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was.

He came to help, to put the world right again.

Thank God!

Sure-enough, love is the language of grace.

So, let’s begin to live our lives from where we are in Christ!

He is the path, the truth, and the energy of life.

Say yeah!
