Another Second Chance:
Messed up on the first time round?
Undone by that big time botch up?
Oh well, buck up, and grub up this encouragement.
Gaining hope, we remember and wait for this thought:
How enduring is God’s loyal love.
He has inexhaustible compassion.
Here they are, every morning, new!
His faithfulness is as broad as the day.
Still, without referring to specific details, we have a record of falling short in what is expected.
We’re experts at messing up our best effort, insight, and choice.
We are often mocked by the fantasy of our hopes, and the error of our calculations.
We frequently struggle with life’s pressure in today’s climate.
On account of these things, we may also have a low morale.
But hey!
Because God’s deepest feelings of love and compassion for us are set-anew every morning, we will never reach a stage where His love gets used up.
This means we can never botch it so bad that God will give-up on us.
But instead, along comes our heavenly Papa saying:
“You botched up big time?
Again?
Okey-dokey.
Listen!
You can start out afresh.
Only, this time let Me help you.”
That’s it!
He specialises in second chances!
Time and again!
Just know this, as we look up to Him, He fills our lives with confidence and hope.
Remember, an earthly father expresses love for his kids – it is no different with our heavenly Papa.
But much more, constantly, again and again, He soaks us in mercy and grace!
Because of this free expression of love, our mess ups and mistakes never mean it’s all over!
So, come-on!
Here and now, dust yourself down. Pull yourself together. Begin again!
Stay gripped and focused!
Do your best. Work from the heart.
Buoy up!
Stick with those who love you to bits – be around them, and extend to them an equal degree of importance.
Increase your prayer base.
And never give up!
God never gives up on you.
He has no limits in range or scope.
Day in, day out, another second chance unfolds!
