U-turn Prodigal

U-turn Prodigal:

Listening to the book of Proverbs this week, there was a particular verse which spoke louder than most.

The audio-voice broke through the atmosphere – going far beyond the words that had gone before.

The volume and intensity seemed to increase – reaching and occurring farthest within.

Suddenly, I became attentive, alert to something significant.

It was as if something, someone, had given me a nudge.

You know, an “aha” moment.

Such-like one of those split seconds – at which the solution to a problem becomes clear.

Anyhow, I guess you get my drift.

As I listened and heard with eager attention, I received the following:

“God-devotion makes a country strong; God-avoidance leaves people weak.”

And this got me thinking.

This can also apply to the individual.

You and I or anyone!

Consider this, if we head in the right direction, we will be strong.

But if we go on a course or in a direction different from the planned or intended one, we will be weak.

Still, it’s so easy to reject God!

So easy to leave God out of the equation!

So easy to go off and do our own thing!

Yet, without God in our lives, things can become difficult.

Kinda like the prodigal, it’s up to us to take THE FIRST STEP – to come back to THE PLACE where we had been before.

So maybe, it’s time to change one’s mind, heart and attitude.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s time for all of us to complete a 180 degree turn from what we were doing.

Yeah, it’s time to get back on track!

After-all, doing what is right makes a nation great!

Doing what is right makes us strong.

Godliness makes a nation!

Remember, if we turn to God, He’ll be there ready for us.

So, say a quiet yes to God and He’ll be there in no time.

Now, follow-through the u-turn!

Sure-enough, as we get down on our knees before Him – it’s the only way we’ll get on our feet.

Wow! What an “aha” moment!
