Word Of Our Testimony

Word Of Our Testimony:

As we listened earlier this week to the opening ceremony of the Paralympics – London 2012, we were led to believe that we would witness stories that will awaken us, challenge us, dazzle, inspire and move us.

And sure-enough, we were not going to be disappointed.

I’m completely confident that you, yourself, have captured many stories of courage.

It goes without saying, we’ve all been moved!

The plain truth is, every Paralympean has faced adversity and struggles in life.

Obviously, many still do!

Yet, consider this, they may have a disability – but the disability hasn’t gotten them!!

Instead, each Paralympean has resolved to press on, and aim for something high.

Now friends, we are not all Paralympeans – but as Christians, we do have a story worth telling that could awaken, challenge, dazzle, inspire and hopefully move others.

In fact, our stories, whether we are fully aware or incognizant of it, have the thumb-prints and finger-marks of God all over them.

Indeed, each of us are living a story worth telling!

Admittedly, all of us, whether Christians or not, have faced diverse and varied issues.

Some of us still do!

But as Christians we have the assurance that God enables us to handle those problems with greater ease and grace – even though it might appear tough at the time.

How awe inspiring then, when we grasp and understand – that Satan, the accuser – has been defeated through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of our testimony.

Now, I’m sure you’ll agree, that’s impressive stuff, and something to chew over!

So, let us – who are in Christ, share this powerful message of hope and life!

Can we be champions? Sure!

Can we rejoice? Yeah!

Then, let’s reach and train our generation for Christ!

What a privilege!

Yes, yes, yes!

Therefore, don’t underestimate the power of your testimony!

Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy.
