Truth Revealed:
Contemplating the experiences of my life’s journey, I’m taken aback by the realization of just how powerful this message is:-
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighbourhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true from start to finish.1.
Friends, Jesus is God’s message.
It wasn’t a message simulated by entering a world of virtual-reality, or which became accessible to only those wearing stereoscopic goggles and fibre optic gloves!
Okay, computers hadn’t reached the hills of Galilee in times way back yonder, but you get my drift.
God’s message wasn’t something exaggerated – it wasn’t Something made up or fabricated either!
Nah! God’s message became one of us. Flesh, blood and bone.
When God sent His message – He moved into the neighbourhood.
In fact, He was confronted by hard knocks, brushed shoulders with the likes of you and me, fought off the test of temptation, was touched by our emotion, rejected by His own, knew what it was to be letdown, and was even subjected to death on a cross!
– He experienced it all. But He did not sin!2.
None-the-less, His sacrificial love bought our freedom.
Truth was revealed through Jesus who ministered to the poor, the prisoner, the blind, the broken-hearted and so on.!
It was no illusion. He was full of unfailing love. Full of faithfulness!
And sure-enough, this is how much God loved the world! He gave His Son, His one and only Son.
And here’s why: so that no one need be destroyed! By believing in Him, you and I or anyone can have a whole and everlasting life.3.
Now, that’s a wonderful message – generous inside and out, true from start to finish.
A life-changing message!
