Free From Fear

Free From Fear:

Fear eats away at our ability to say or do the right thing – and can leave us feeling worn-out, completely exhausted, run down, helpless, empty and without hope.

I’m sure that at some point or other – we’ve all had fears.

Too often we fear we’re of no importance to anyone.

We fear we can’t accomplish the task before us.

We fear finding ourselves in a state of unemployment, having everything that we hold dear taken away from us – or having to live with barely enough money for immediate needs in the misery of poverty.

We fear chronic illness, future events, isolation, old age, and so on.

Now listen, God’s desire for us is to be free of today’s fears.

Here’s a great quote by Max Lucado:

“Fear may fill your world, but it doesn’t have to fill your heart.”

Consider this – We don’t have to worry, because God is with us. There’s no reason for being afraid, because He is our God. He will make us strong, and He will help us.

That’s right. In every circumstance of life – He is with us. He will never walk off and leave us!

Yep, you’ve got it, God is in it with us!

Our security is based on one fact, and one fact alone – God is here, and He knows, and cares about every aspect of our lives.

For this reason, surely, it’s good sense and sound judgement that we should live by God’s power, share God’s love, and demonstrate His goodness.

Sure-enough, the only solution to eliminating fear, is having an unquestionable trust in God.

Let me put it this way, as we put our trust in our Heavenly Father, we refuse to accept fear. Instead, we accept the reality of His love for us.

It’s re-addressing our attention towards God, even in the darkest episodes of our lives, and trusting Him to turn our lives around for good.

Then, as our relationship grows – we discover how to stroll in freedom with Him through the sunlit fields of life.
